Groundbreaking ceremony of Macao metro
The preliminary design of the rolling stock is undergoing a general review and the first civil engineering contract (for the depot foundation) has been awarded.
The ground-breaking ceremony took place on 23 November in the presence of the Minister of Public Works and Transportation, the managers of the city departments, the manager of GI (our direct client), the contractor, the design office and EFS. This event was widely reported in the local press.
According to Merall SIMS, “we are now aiming to commission the metro in 2015”.
